ARTIST - Beti Kristof

My background in art is of a traditional kind. I apprenticed with artists, Eva and Americo Makk, who had training in art academies in Europe. Later, I followed in my teachers footsteps, which took me to Florence. There, studying under the Tuscan skies fascinated me to think that the old masters walked the same paths as I. Looking through the piazzas and up to the same “Duomo”, I studied with students of Joseph Sheppard and in private art studios throughout the city. The buildings that held sculptures from Donatello to Michaelangelo were my classrooms. The original drawings which I sketched from; of Ruebens, Rembrant and Titian; in the vaults under the Pitti Palace, will forever be etched in my soul. |
