Art Appraisal

Self Appraisal - Some galleries do offer appraisals but there is usually an upfront fee for that. Here are some tips to help you find the value of your artwork.

One quick and inexpensive method of doing this is to take it to a pawn shop and consider they will most likely valuate the item at 1/10th to 1/2 the estimated value.

You can also try checking out ebay.com for similar items and find the value by comparing similar pieces that have sold.

If the artist has a website you can check out the value of comparable pieces by visiting the website, or possibly even contacting the artist directly.
